Secular Humanism

This topic was very crucial to discuss as it been influence in politics, ethics and morals, as well as education. It been introduced in 1933 with the name of Humanist Manifesto I and then been changed in 1973 the Humanist Manifesto II  and finally succeeded by the Secular Humanist Declaration.

There are 6 issues that have been argue during this declaration.

1) Religion - The laws that govern the universe and  mankind are the physical laws of the universe and are not influenced by non-material or supernatural beings such as gods, demons or other spirits.

2) Evolution - The universe is self-existing and has not been created.

3) Morality/ethics - Ethics are individualistic and situational. They stem from the human needs and interests.

4) Sexual Expression - Moral education for children and adults is important in the development of awareness and sexual maturity.

5) One World - The planet is a single ecosystem. The proper use of nature is a moral value.

6) Education - Education is the essential method of building humane, free and democratic societies.

These issues have pro and contradiction towards the ways it been implement in human right. Some humanist have argue towards this issues but the solutions came out where secular humanism have been used. This been related with the support of human right towards the world globally. wallahu.
